JAMA (Journal of American Medical Association)
links hip fractures and fluoridation
Reports published in 1990, 1992 and 1992 stated that there was
a link between hip fractures in the elderly and water fluoridated
at 1 ppm. (the so-called "optimal dose").
JADA (Journal of the American Dental Association) admits
the often stated "optimal" intake level of 1 ppm (part
per million) has yet to be determined scientifically.

water supplies, such as is contemplated by [Houston] City Ordinance
No. 80-2530, may cause or may contribute to the cause of cancer,
genetic damage, intolerant reactions, and chronic toxicity, including
dental mottling, in man; that the said artificial fluoridation
may aggravate malnutrition and existing illnesses in man; and
that the value of said artificial fluoridation is in doubt as
to the reduction of tooth decay in man."

City warns residents about Fluoridated water
Natick Mass. - March 1998 When people open their next town water
bills, they will notice a warning about fluoridation. The town
recommends pregnant women, parents of children under 3, and people
sensitive to fluoride consult their doctors.
ADA (American Dental Association) study suggests
too much Toothpaste Causes Fluorosis.
A study published in the December Journal of the American Dental
Association (JADA) shows that children who use too much toothpaste
are at a significant risk for dental Fluorosis.
Judge reinstates EPA scientist who recommends
ELIMINATING FLUORIDE from
water supplies.
Secretary of Labor Robert Reich has ordered the reinstatement
of Dr. William Marcus, a Senior Toxicologist with the EPA, who
was fired by the Environmental Protection Agency after he opposed
the use of fluoride in drinking water.
Mr. Reich ratified a Dec. 3,
1992, ruling by Judge David Clarke that the EPA retaliated
against Dr. Marcus by firing him in May 1992 for his scientific
reports which recommended removing fluoride from drinking water.
Fluoride, Dr. Marcus said in an interview Friday, is a
poison found to cause liver cancer and other health problems.
It also causes lead to leach from plumbing into water supplies,
he said.
EPA and Surgeon General accused of falsifying
data on fluoride.
In 1991, the National Federation of Federal Employees representing
the scientists lawyers and engineers at EPA Headquarters charged
the EPA and Surgeon General's office with falsifying information
relating to the risks of fluoride and unequivocally renounced
the use of fluoride as a safe practice.
Santa
Cruz rejects Fluoridation
The Santa Cruz citizens voted to ban fluoridation on March 2,
1999.
Floridation loses when it is put to a public
vote.
As stated by the ADA (American Dental Association)
Crest Toothpaste states sociopolitical aspects of water fluoridation
must be considered.
Crest Toothpaste (Procter & Gamble) states "the reasons
of fluoridation is rejection by communities is due to: failure
to effectively educate the public on the scientific and sociopolitical
aspects of water fluoridation, & failure of health professionals
to treat the situation as a "political" campaign. "
